The Beauty Post | L'Oreal Lumi Magique Pearl Powder in Rose Radieux Review & Swatches

Left - Pink and Rose Gold mixed together | Right - Just the Rose Gold

i'm a highlighter and rose gold fanatic, so there's no way that a recent superdrug voucher wasn't going to be spent on this beauty. the embossing on this just dragged me in even more, but it was the gorgeous shimmer which really swayed me as i don't have a peachy, rose gold highlighter that still has a sheen or shimmer to it.

unfortunately, the shimmer just seems to be on the top layer of the product, and it has much more of a matte finish now i've used it a few times and got past it, but it's still super pretty - there's a real rosy pink centre which blends in really well with the main rose gold colour and compliments it.

another bonus is that this is a very close dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Incandescent Light, this is just a little less powdery and is much lighter on the skin.

i don't think you could ask for much more from a high street/drugstore highlighter unless you're after something that has a shimmer running through the whole of the product, but sometimes it looks nicer to have a subtle and slightly more matte highlighting shade, especially with deeper, plummy coloured blushes in the winter.

will you be picking up this pretty highlighter? or do you already have a drugstore favourite?

  2. I haven't seen this in stores. Looks very pretty x

  3. This product looks so amazing and cute <33

  4. This looks so pretty! It's a shame the amazing shimmer doesn't carry all the way through, but a more subtle finish is lovely for the winter months! :)

  5. I bought this too thinking it was a beautiful highlighter, but ended up being sad that it's just a powder, a very pretty powder at that :)
